Monument to Alexander Pushkin and Natalie Goncharova in the Arbat (Moscow)

Arbat St., Moscow, Metro stations: "Arbatskaya", "Smolenskaya".

One of the most fascinating legends of Moscow is a story of acquaintance, marriage brokerage and wedding of the Russian poet Alexander Pushkin and Natalie Goncharova.

It was in the Moscow Arbat and its side streets where they had their honey moon. They walked there being young, in love with each other and happy.

The monument was designed by Alexander and Igor Burganovs. The architects are Y. Rozanova and A. Kuzmina.

The sculpture presents the amorous Pushkin and Goncharova. The bronze statues meet Moscow people and guests of the capital near their house in the Arbat.

To celebrate the 175th Anniversary of the poet's wedding, the sculptors set a life-sized colonnade model of an arch of comfort.
